Collection Spotlight! The soon to be discontinued Bete Noire from Aromaleigh Mineral Cosmetics!

Press Samples

Happy 15th birthday Aromaleigh Mineral Cosmetics! They've just finished the launch of a new website and are discontinuing some of their older collections, specifically collections that have lingered from the Aromaleigh v1 days.

A brief summary of the company's history: Aromaleigh was initially founded in 1998 and closed in 2010. They re-opened as "Aromaleigh v2" under new management in 2011 and reformulated their entire product line. Many of their eyeshadow collections were reborn with their new formula.

In a public statement, Kristen, the founder of Aromaleigh says of the discontinued collections:
"Because these products were all revamps of Aromaleigh v1 formulations, I don't feel that they are my best creative work."
While it's sad to see these collections being left behind, there is still plenty available on Aromaleigh's previous webpage and all of the discontinued collections are priced at 50% off. If you are interested in purchasing both items that are being discontinued and items that are on Aromaleigh's new website, contact the company with both order numbers so that you can get a combined shipping discount.

But anyway, the point of this post is to show you the Bete Noire collection, soon to be discontinued but with plenty currently in stock.

Bete Noire is a collection of 16 satin-finished eyeshadows. There is a wide variety of color but the collection as a whole is on the muted side of things.

From the swatches above, you can see that there are a few shades that seem duplicated and it's true that there are some that are very similar to others (Colette and Mireille for instance) but there are very soft differences between the shades that allow the eyeshadows to easily blend together.
