Stormy skies, and a hair cut

I woke this morning to a lovely rain with a bit of thunder here and there.  Gosh I LOVE rain, and some thunder added in is an extra bonus.  Knowing I do not have to get up and drive in it on my way to work is so nice.  I can stay in my bed a few extra minutes and just listen to the rain hitting my windows.  We have been getting some much needed rain here usually in the afternoons, which tends to be our pattern in the summer, so today's early morning showers were a special treat.  Florida is just so darn sunny all the time, give me rain and clouds any day.  It makes me feel centered, and calm.  Maybe it is because I grew up in Michigan and we had a LOT of cloudy days.  Growing up I yearned for sun, now I wish for rain and clouds.  I went out to capture the storm clouds as they broke up, here take a peek.

I could see this out my craft room window so I raced outside to capture it.   When I turned around this is the beautiful sky I was able to see....wow!

So beautiful!  An early morning rain makes everything seem fresher, like the world has had a shower and it is all clean for the start of the day.

We will pay for this rain all day with super high humidity levels, but it is worth it.

I am sad to see the deer really did damage one of my pine trees.  I don't think this little one is going to make a come back from all the bark damage.

Mr. Armadillo ran in front of Max and I as I went to take the pictures of the sky.  Max thinks he is a toy, but they can be very vicious so we kept a safe distance.

Pink seems to be my color right now which is very unusual for me.  Usually I am a gray/purple gal.  I have two Berroco sweaters going in different shades of pink and my new weaving project in Berroco Boboli Lace in this primarily pink mix.  I hope to finish this shawl this weekend.  Keep your fingers crossed I do not mess up the finish, hopefully I have learned a thing or two from my last weaving disaster.

Little Buddy got a hair cut from yours truly.  It took me two days, one for the back and one for the front and sides.  He is a squirmier!  This is morning hair so I am not sure I am showing him off in the best light, I think it still might be a work in progress.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my sweater, I think the angle of the photos make it look better than it is.  From the angle I am looking at it right now there seems to be a few imperfections I may need to fix.  Also big thanks for the well wishes for my Teenager.  He is healing up nicely and only looks a bit puffy on the bottom right side of his jaw.  He is eating soft foods but still liking all the attention...........boys!

Have a wonderful weekend, any big plans?
