 'Okkadu' and 'Kandireega' are the most recently announced southern remakes in Bollywood. In the last two years, six southern remakes - 'Bodyguard', 'Ready', 'Singham', 'Housefull 2', 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Son of Sardaar' - have raked in over Rs.600 crore at the box-office, fueling the trend.
