All Chanel nail colours come in the square-shaped glass bottle.
The cap comes off and also doubles as a place to rest your finger on during application. :)
The brush is thin for precise application.
Colour & Finish
Sweet Star is an intriguing shade that varies between a shimmering metallic silver to a pearlescent red-toned purple depending on the number of coats applied, lighting and viewing angle. Due to its iridescence and pearl effect, Sweet Star is forgiving and can be applied sheerly or in a thin coat for a paler, purple-tinged metallic effect, or for a more intense, full coverage, silver metallic effect in 2-3 coats.
Texture & Application
You can apply Sweet Star in thin layers or if you are a bit lazy and impatient as I am - in thicker layers. It has a versatile texture and applies smoothly either way. The consistency is neither too thin or too thick. Overall, application was a breeze as with most of the Chanel nail polishes I've used. Also, dry time is relatively quick which is a bonus. :)
On My Nails
For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone. All photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.

Comparison Swatches
The red-toned purple pearlescence in Sweet Star (bottom left) is reminiscent of Chanel Paradoxal's (509) hue. However, the two are completely different when applied.

Stunning. Definitely not one to be missed!!!
Availability
Sweet Star is a limited edition and was created exclusively for Vogue Fashion Night Out - Sept. 4, 2014 and available from the Chanel Makeup Studio, Myer Sydney City. On the day, it was flying out the door, so you would be VERY lucky to still grab a hold of it somehow!
